Looking for some advice on a new pistol. GBB or NBB is fine. Gas or CO2 is also not an issue. I do not mind paying for a decent one like something in the KWA line, but I am not adverse to a WG or even lower end brand. Opinions on what you like or have been using is appreciated.

You want a gun that will last?
Buy a TM, leave it stock, run it on duster. Great range, accuracy, and it'll last you forever.

If you run Green Gas or Propane in them I heard the seals screw up and you have issues with the slide, correct?

Will it explode immediately? No.
Is it good for it in the long term? No. That's not what it was designed for.
That's why you run it on duster. And yes, it'll shoot 30fps less but it will last exponentally longer, in terms of both the gun and mags. Much longer than KWA guns and mags last, that's for damn sure.

Maybe I got lucky but I had a KWA last for like 7-8 years then I sold it.

KJW's are copies of Marui designs. They metal they use is of very poor quality, and nearly cost me an eye as a result. Sean loves this picture when I make this analogy, so here it is. Clone metal is about as strong as....

I never get tired of that picture.
I have a TM P226 that was upgraded to full metal as soon as I bought it, so I could run it on propane without breaking the slide. It works very well, but if you want to go that route be prepared to spend twice as much and replace worn out parts more often - including the mags. I've had to buy new mags approximately every two years for the gun because running propane through them keeps breaking them. Not ideal, considering how expensive GBB mags are.
I just can't recommend the TM Five seveN enough (yes Steve, the F and the N are supposed to be capitalized - think about it). The mags hold a ludicrous amount of gas, it's more accurate out of the box than any other pistol I've used (except the P226, but that also has a TBB), and I've had zero problems with minimal maintenance over the course of at least six months.
