Thanks for the advice. I haven't cleaned it yet as I have yet to get cleaning supplies for the gun. I guess the stuff I use to clean my firearms is too potent. lol I don't want to break it.

The only thing I was going to epoxy was a broken clip that I'm going to replace anyway. I opted for tape for now. I have some .23 grain BBs but haven't tried them yet. Same brand as the .20s I was firing. They seem to be quality , about $13 for a bag of 3000. That seems cheap to me but then again I'm coming from paintball and real guns lol How's $33 for a box of 50 rounds sound? Hmmm... this might explain why I'm broke...

The gearbox was pretty dry once I got it open. I cleaned out the greenish factory wax and lubed where I was instructed (using proper silicon lube, not the shit I use on my firearms lol)

I'm done screwing with it for now. I never did anything to the gun without first doing extensive research and watching multiple instructional videos from airsoft techs.

I think you are on the right track. I learned a lot by watching videos and actual experience taking stuff apart. Asking for help is key too as you can't know everything. I am always learning new things all the time. That is what makes this sport fun ;)

I hear ya. I don't pretend to know anything. I just like doing things myself to be perfectly frank, and I very much enjoy technical stuff like this. Though to be honest I'm probably running into this much faster than I did with my firearms or paintball markers since they don't violently explode in your face if you screw something up.

Anyways after handling this gun or the field I'm not so sure I'm digging the ergonomics, by that I mean they suck. I'm loving the Magpul handguards, everything else is pathetic in my opinion. I do however love the lightweight. I may try to make it work if I can keep the weight down. The other issues right now is that is definitely needs a tight bore and the gears have seized up in the hop up (it was working). I'd like to give the Sig 556 platform a shot; I don't know yet.

a sig 556 isnt exactly the lightest gun around, they arent that big but they're heavy

Actually I'm most likely going with a G36c since it is short, lightweight, and has a folding stock which could really come in handy since I sometimes don't like having a stock. Been looking at the KWA one. I'll take a look at some others and check out aftermarket parts. It won't be fun if I can't customize the hell out of it.

My anti-reversal piece seems to not be working. I may not have reassembled the gearbox properly. If I can get it fixed I want to try and sell it at a loss.
