We seem to have developed a problem recently of leaving our trash around in the staging area at the quarry. The property owner at the Quarry has been nice enough to let us use the land behind his business with out really asking for much in return. One thing has been asked of us is that we don't leave any trash behind.

Today some of the employees at the Quarry had to clean up after our airsoft game on Sat 22 October 2011 and they were not amused about it at all. The Quarry has been hosting airsoft games for a few years now and only went public about 8 months ago. The Chem Plant goes back longer as private events then went public about 8 months again as well. If this trash issue continues to be a problem at the Quarry then both fields will go back to being private invite only fields.

We will not risk losing one of our fields due to a few people who cannot follow the simple rule of clean up your own trash. It's really not that hard, if you bring it in your bring it back out. Just be respectful, don't give our sport/hobby a bad name. When I look around at all the forums I see a lot of fields that use to be. It seems like these two fields are some of the only few left in the area that host free games every weekend. Do we really want to give that up because people can not clean up their own shit?

For now on, if you see trash just pick it up. I don't care if it's yours or not. Let's keep this field open to the general airsoft public. I know it's not fair to the majority of us due to a few leaving trash behind to have to pay but thats what will happen. It's even less fair when both fields will close but thats what is gonna happen as well.

Just pick up the trash before you leave.

I saw posts of having container for trash, bad idea. I had two big plastic barrels for trash, Recycles and Paper. Anything else you take with you. If I can not burn it or Recycle it....take it back home with you. Same deal with Cig Butts too. I do not mind if people smoke in my staging area, but that your butts with you. It took awhile, but people got the idea and I only have to bitch once & awhile.

Now coming to a field owned by someone else is a different matter. Common courtesy is to take your trash, no matter what it is with you. I have found that if you have ANY kind of container for trash...it then means the field owner then has to get rid of it. It could Promte bad feelings after awhile.

Just my 2 cents.... ;)

You got it Mike. I hope that my guys and other Unit215 folks aren't guilty of this.
