i know approximately dick about computers. how do you resize a picture to use for an avatar?

We should get a frequently asked question thread for this lol. I'm not sure what program you can use because we most likely have different computers. But play around with some of the picture viewing/editing programs settings. Someone will most likely post something more helpful a little later. But until then do what I said and try google and YouTube

XNVIEW-Great Freeware program to resize photos and save into different formats. A Great program for Batch Processing pictures as well with Resize and format. http://www.xnview.com/en/download.html

Paint makes it kind of a pain in the ass to do simple resizes. Can it be done? Sure, but almost any other program will make it easier.
