TM VSR GSpec I'm pretty psyched ...can't wait to use it. Found it at a nice price.

Thanks ...I wanted something more agile and lighter than an L96 platform ...and something quality to build on. The TM probably shoots better than the rifle I use now with 40% less fps. I'm planning on upgrading with a tight bore and slightly stronger spring ....then some paint.

Very nice greg. When upgraded they are works of art. Treat it well as they are few and far between nowadays.

What's the difference between the G-spec and the standard version, does the suppressor have any function? Like hold a longer inner barrel?

The picture was from google so ....that's not the actual rifle. The GSpec as the scope mount and the barrel is threaded with the silencer ...not sure if there's foam ..might just be decoration. I'm not going nuts with the spring ...just a slight upgrade so I continue to use heavy rounds with it.

Funny you should say that .....they called today and said they only have the JG ...and for the inconvenience they'd send me 5000 BB's. That might be acceptable if I was ordering a $125 gun ...but I'll pass on the JG and cancel the order. That doesn't mean don't worry .....Airsoft Atlanta had it...and were kind enough to ship for free so ...a good deal was too good to be true but I got the rifle anyhow.

I have a Original VSR-10 and would not trade it for the world. Glad you were able to snag one!

Thanks ...I like my L96 for what it cost ....but it's just not as accurate as I'd like and a waste to upgrade since I don't care for the ergonomics of the platform. It just seemed like the best choice. It's probably more accurate out of the box than the L96 ....and my range won't really change since the L96 needs .4's to stay on track and they drop like rocks. I add a tight bore and slight spring upgrade to tune it to about 350-400 w/ .3g's ...good to go. I might try and side mount a Tru-Glo turkey sight set up and use a smaller scope than the standard size.

Since the suppressor was raped as per law ....it was basically a sound amplifier and useless. I found an easy solution that solves the problem ... I used a sanding sponge ...they're about 1/4 thin flexible foam with one side coated in a rubbery grit skin. I cut the sponge down so the roll was measured just under the circumference and slid it right inside. The rubber sand skin side keeps the tension around the outside and holds firm so the spacing is true all the way down. It works awesome ...no more loud hollow "pop" noise. It cuts the noise down significantly.
