I picked one up used off someone for a steal. Only thing missing in the box was the 8.4v battery & charger. Even had the original BBs with it. Full stock, metal receiver & barrel, not the Plastic Sportline version. First thing I saw was the teeth on the piston were worn, so I replaced it and the spring. Shooting 375 FPS with .25s and decent ROF (14). Hop Up seems bad, so i will replace with a new Bucking Tonight. Split Gearbox design and hence my question: Lower Gearbox fires on Full Auto ok, Semi, ok...but in Safe still fires semi. I have to rip it apart tonight, but anyone run into something like this? Gun is solid otheriwse.

Do those guns have the typical M4 wiring harness found in traditional gearboxes?

Might be a tad different. I have to see the Lower Gear Box when I pull it out tonight. Might be something simple like a contact not releasing or something similar.

FIXED! ICS gearboxes are the bomb!! Took me less then a 3 minutes to get the lower gearbox apart, see the broken part, replace it and put it back together. Works like a champ now. I even replaced the Bucking & Nub with a new G&P one. Shooting great. I ordered a Tightbore Barrel for the heck of it and then I will be golden!!!

What I finally upgraded the Gun to: -New 18.5 RIS Upper Receiver -510mm 6.03 Tightbore Barrel -Bravo Bucking/Nub -Amp High Torque Motor Still shoots 375FPS w/ .25s, but better accuracy and response. Good range and not as heavy as I thought it would be. I have the old Upper Receiver with a new 6.03 TB Barrel in it and that rocks at 390 w/.25s. Stock Upper gearbox still shoots 330FSP w/.25s so I can slip that in for CQB matches.

I put in one of those Falcon Rifled barrels to test it. About 5 more FPS, same Range and looks like pretty tight accuracy. I will post some shooting results tonight after we test it this afternoon.
