Honor the Brave 2 - Sept 17

Cookies Chaos, TJ, and NJAL are organizing Honor the Brave 2, an annual event held to honor those who have served and those who have fallen. We were planning this event to be a 24 hour event, but unfortunately we can not play through the night. Currently chances are good that it will happen, however nothing is set in stone. Last year HtB pulled a little over 200 players from all areas, lets beat that this year!

All profits will be donated to two charities, the winner getting to donate more money than the loser!

Rules, requirements, and Regulations

These will be announced soon. For now, make sure you have all of the following gear to be adequately prepared for this game. All of the items on this list WILL be checked and enforced. If you are missing an item you will not be allowed to play! Some items may be for sale in the Staging area, but I wouldn't count on it unless you have spoken with someone before hand.

Uniform Regulations:

These requirements are pretty loose at the moment. If anyone fails to abide by the uniform regulations you will not be allowed to play.

Green: Anything green/dark color based. Black and Dark brown are allowed.

Tan: Anything Tan/light color based. Lighter greys, Khaki, CB are allowed.

Do NOT wear green/dark uniforms if you are TAN, and do NOT wear tan/light uniforms if you are GREEN. This goes for T-shirts as well! These regulations do not apply to rigs, vests, or goggles. This will be more elaborately detailed at a later date.

Early Preparation for Gear Requirements:

Barrel Condoms
Red Rag (not an Echo1 red rag! From more than 30 feet these are hard to tell/see that they are actually red due to the "Echo1" print throughout the rag)
Full Seal Eye Protection (ANSI Z87.1 or ASTM F1776)
Full Face protection if under 18 (Facemask, baklava)
FRS radio
Whistle
Hydration (Camelbak, Canteen, Naglene)
Boots
Red / Blue Glow sticks (Chemical or Battery powered. You can order the battery operated ones online or go to your local Home Depot/Lowes)
Flash Light (I highly suggest you get an LED High powered flash light, like a Surefire. If you can't afford that, go with the Nebo Redline.

Suggested Gear Items:

Tent
Sleeping Bags
2 Changes of Uniforms
3 Sets of under garments
Change of comfortable clothes for the ride home (especially if you have to drive a long distance)
In game snacks (Trail mix, dried fruit, peach ring/sour patch kids, power bars, power gels)
Moisture Wicking Socks and under garments (Smart Wool, Dri-Fit, ect)
Rain Protection
Bug Spray (Permethrin or Deet based, try not go get anything under 30% if you go with Deet)
Secondary/Back up rifle
EXTRA BATTERIES (for airsoft guns AND radios!)

Thanks for coming out to support the cause to everyone who did. Just to clear up some misunderstanding about the organizers, I took myself out of the planning for this game a few months ago due to other resposibilities that held priority. TJ took over from there, and given the amount of work that was required I feel he did the best with what he had.

Next year should be a good bit larger, with Cookie being the new owner of the field we can finally take advantage of the other 40 or so acres (its about 70 acres, we currently use about 30-35 or so from what I know)
