Hi all.

My name is James, I live in Ireland. Been airsofting for ~2 years.
Planning a trip to see relatives in Ardmore Philly soon, just checking out the airsoft scene before I head over :)

Would anyone recommend any goods shops/sites etc near Ardmore?

Thanks :)

Welcome to the site, depending on how far you are willing to travel when you get here there are a few. We actually have a vendor that comes out to our events which makes things easier. When do you plan on heading over here?

In all honesty, while I appreciate your enthusiasm, good brick-and-mortar airsoft stores are few and far between in America. It's mostly an internet market.

The retailers you do find will be most interested in selling your the items with the highest profit margin, which is generally the chinese garbage.

It's kind of the same in Ireland to be honest. Any shop I have dealt with sell crap as well, and look at you funny when you ask for VFC or Systema etc.

Be nice to see an American site/skirmish and see how the game differs, if at all.

ManOwaR has a very valid point. Look into Full Auto Airsoft. It's mainly a web base supplier but that is the vendor that comes out to two of our fields. You can check out his site at www.faairsoft.com . It's a new site so not much is on there. More info on his guns and gear he carries can be found here: http://www.sepaairsoft.com/f74-full-auto-airsoft

As was stated there are a couple around.John(full auto) is always at the games.I'm really interested on how you play the game.I've seen the youtube vids from over seas. That was one of the reasons I left paintball years ago.In the time frame you gave...there are a few games coming up and I know of one milsim event at that time.See you on the field buddy.

Thanks all.

What i'd most like to actually buy would be some A-TACS FG gear.
Is there any surplus stores in Philly or how does it work in the US for camo clothes?

I don't believe the FG has even been released yet and I can't find a release date anywhere.

Sweet, you may be in time. I know Montgomeryville Army Navy said they will be getting a shipment in on release. I'll talk to them tomorrow about it for you when I go there.

Mont Army Navy will be getting them in on release and they will be running the same price as the original ATACS which is around $110-120 for the blouse and trousers. They have not been given a date yet other then the end of Feb.
