Greetings fellow Philly airsofters, I come before you today to ask for some advice. My primary weapon is a KWA KMP9 GBB SMG. It has never been chronographed but I have heard from multiple other owners that it shoots in the neighborhood of 380 fps w/ .20's. Now i want to be able to play CQB with this gun so clearly i need a way to turn down the pressure or something. The only person i've seen have success lowering it to an acceptable level used a part from the KWA MP7.....from what i've been able to tell this part has been replaced on the mp7 with the same part the kmp9 ships with, therefore making it hard to find. so basically what im looking to find out is, what else can i do to make this gun shoot under 350 fps?
Excuse my noobishness, im used to paintball where if you shot hot, you had a regulator to turn down.

Some locations do not allow GBB's indoors unless you use Green Gas. It might shoot lower FPS with green Gas then 380.

Green Gas is propane. They are chemically identical and will make your gun shoot identically. If you need a lower pressure gas, try computer duster gas or HFC134a.

The way I see it is you have 2 options. #1 Try to see if they have a lower flow valve for the magazines available (doubtful that they exist though) #2 TM used to make a velocity reducer which should give you the desired results but you just have to make sure your field will allow them (they also kill the accuracy on your gun but i guess its better than no gun at all). Also BumbleCrap is correct in that Green Gas is just propane that smells good so both will give the same results.

SA08, the velocity reducers by TM work on a vacuum principle.. On auto or rapid fire semi, they will NOT work. Hence why most fields don't allow them.
Try RATech, they might sell an NPAS valve for it.

on a stroke of luck i found a post regarding this exact issue on the kwa forums. Turns out someone who goes by DangerWerx over at airsoft retreat has begun production of valves that reduce the fps to ~340. WIN!
