Since the mock suppressors sold in the US are pre gutted, the G-Spec I purchased had that loudening effect with the suppressor installed. I muffled it some with a sanding sponge but it was far from quiet. After some research I found a place that custom makes foam and ordered 2 tubes. They fit perfectly and completely muffle the report. I have an extra if anyone needs it.

Is it a more condense foam then normal? I found something similar in our Press Cabinets at work that muffle the motor noise. Pretty dense stuff.

I used "medium packaging foam" when I ordered it. It's the basic gray packing foam and it's a little less dense and lighter than padding foam.

Pretty much any sound-dampening material will do. For my MP5, I drilled holes in the inner cylinder of the silencer and crammed a bunch of building insulation between the inner and outer walls. As a result, the MP5 is almost completely silent farther than ten feet or so.

There was no inner barrel in the TM suppressor. I think they use a series of plastic discs that hold the foam rings. The custom foam works ...and I can order replacements if needed.
