The anti reversal latch seems to not be working in my g36. When i disassembled the gearbox, i see that nothing is wrong with the anti reversal latch or beval gear. The latch clicks and stops the beval gear as it should. but when i reassemble the GB it does the samething - after shooting it, the gears go backward. Has anyone encountered this problem? should i get a new anti reversal latch?

Replace it.It might be worn or the spring that slides on it might be worn too.

Or the ARL spring just slipped by, off or broke.

A lot of times this is a simple issue of stretching the spring a bit so that the ARL applies more pressure to the bevel gear teeth.

I have tried multiple different latches, springs, and gears. I ordered an SRC anti-reversal latch so i'll see if a brand new one works.

i didnt think SRC was a bad company lol i don't think any new anti reversal latch will work anyway. i have tried so many different things and it seems the spring is slipping inside the gearbox and is not applying any preasure to the beval gear.
list of things i've tried-
-multiple anti reversal latches -multiple springs -different sets of gears -different gearbox shell

If you've tried all that, you've eliminated every possible cause, and to put it nicely, you must be doing something wrong.

maybe i'll just have to either send it in for repair with airsoftgi or replace the gearbox.

Maybe the spot when the latch fits in it rounded out or has a piece out of it allowing the latch to go out of place.

I finally fixed it! I rebuilt a whole new gearbox with the only parts from the old gearbox being the trigger and wiring harness.
