Hello,
For anyone who is in the Philly(most people on here I'm guessing?)/South Jersey area, we are trying to get some airsoft games going at Picasso Lake Paintball in Winslow, NJ. This site has a great setup for airsoft with trenches, towers, etc.
The first game at this site will be on February 5th, 2011.
Admisson is $25 for the full day.
There will be more info to come, as of now wer are just trying to get the word out about the event.

Post if you will be attending, may be attending, or have any questions.
Thanks

How many airsoft events has this place hosted? The reason I'm asking a lot of paintball places try to host airsoft events and don't know how.The ref's don't ref or just don't know how or care. For $25 places do Ops(milsim type games).Godfather charges the same thing for indoor and outdoor play, but the are known. You would be better to set up an Op.More money for you guys and more advertisment. Besides a lot more people come(a couple hundred at least).Do the math.We have 3 fields we play on for free in Philly.

This is the first game the place is hosting. We were considering an OP, but figured it might be best to start with just some normal gameplay and work upward to scenario games.
Will give it some thought, thanks

Just looked at the pics. The field actually looks really nice.
And Winslow isn't far for me, about 45 minutes tops. Down past Williamstown I think. I could just shoot down 322 to 42S and that would take me right there.
And Feb. gives me enough time to get myself prepared.

Only thing: What M-DOT said. If the refs aren't doing their job, there is no point in playing. Lately I am annoyed with public fields because there are so many kids who think uber-leet gear makes them invincible to being shot, and it kills any and all fun in the game.
If you can get some competent refs, i'll be there.

Alright, and that's exactly how I feel. I've got a few buds who work there, I'm going to try and get them as the refs instead of the usual "I-just-get-paid-to-stand-around" guys.
If we can get some good refs, it should be good. The owner is very interested in airsoft and wants to learn about it

Owner sounds like he is making a smart move, haha xD
Fantastic sport. Started off slow, but lately it's growing to be way bigger than it ever was.

Might I suggest a reasonable group rate and reserve days ....this way a large group can rent the field for a few hours at a nice per player rate. Most of the people I play with can ref themselves and we'd basically just be renting the facility ...we run our own games now without ref's. To be honest ..$25 is high considering most of us can play for free somewhere all day.

Greg's right on that point.

A group/team rate would be a smart thing to do. Maybe the more people that come together the cheaper the price gets per person? Because usually if one of us goes, we bring the team with us.

They have attempted to do so with groups in the past but that has not worked out.
