We started the day at 12:05, 5 min later then we had planned but that is alot better then before. First match was a quick six on six TDM since most people were just getting there or didn't have they gear set up. The game lasted for 20 min and at that point most people were ready to go.
After a 5 min break we moved right into Attack and Defend of the warehouse. I sat out this and the next few games due to being sick. It seemed like a rough game for the attackers, not sure if they are a bit rusty or just scared to breach the building but large groups sat outside the doors for a while. After sitting outside and running down their timmer they decided ten min was enough time wasted and started getting into the building. There was a strict 30 min time limit set up just for that reason. The attackers finially secured the building with less then 3 min to spare.
We then switched sides and the defenders became the new attackers. Right from the start they attempted to gain entry into the building. They did just that in under two min. The entire team breached down the hallway, some where around 15+ people at once. Most were killed quickly but they gained that foot hold that they needed to stay inside. The entire match was over and done within ten min.
Next game was the recon sniper game. One sniper hiding in the woods from a hunter killer team awaiting rescue from his small squad. The first attempt at this game was a disaster due to miscommunication between the rescue team and the sniper which quickly got him killed. Since the entire game was done in over in less then 5 min we ran it back and played again. For about 45 min it was all fire fights and ambushes between the two teams and some intense fire fights between several sqauds on the same team. After the mass confusion was done and over with the sniper was given the go to start moving to meet up with his team. With only a few min left on the timer the sniper passed off the "recon intel" (back pack) with two team mates who quickly returned it to their base. In the mean time the sniper started to engage the enemy (who was probably still confused) from the rear till I called game.
By this point over half the players had left or were getting ready to leave so we played two rounds of zombies. This is where I started playing again as a zombie. There were 5 of us zombies and about 10 live guys trying to hold out in the building. Within a few min all was lost for the living and there was one guy left who was quickly shot and declared winner. For round two we switched some players around and re did it and the living held out for a good 15 min or so with me being the last alive and then finally shot in the head to end the game.
Now we are only down to 8 players but no one wanted to leave so we decided to have a pistols only match 4 vs 4 one shot one kill inside the warehouse. One team started out at the main enterence and the other started out at the hallway. The match lasted about ten min with one team sticking together until they were eliminated by the hallway team who split in two 2 man teams. The two man team that took the small office (Paintball and I) buildings ended up doing the most damage with 3 kills to win the match.
It's now getting late and some people still wanted to play so we finished the day off with a couple good old fashioned duels. We then packed up around 6:15 and the rest of us headed out for home.
All in all it was a great day for airsoft (minus a few of us trying to run around with head and sinus colds.) Hope to see everyone out there again this coming weekend.
