The Good: The building! Last game was awesome for the defenders. Really enjoyed playing in and around the building. The Bad: Few no hit calling issues and or cheating. The Ugly: No real limits or engagement distance or enforcement of that. I personally had a mask and it did not matter to me. But for those who got lit up in the face at short ranges I fell bad for. It is a good idea to protect your self at this field. By far the last game for me was my favorite. No room for no hit calling because it was all close to mid range action. It must have been very difficult for the attackers but hell of alot of fun for me defending We should have ran that twice, swapping sides. Not to big on playing anything outside of the building. The building is the pride and joy of this place. Attack and defend or some sort of bomb objective is the only way to play here, IMO. Thanks for having me Mike.

Sorry about the lack of hit calling and engagement crap. Lack of hit calling happens on every field and I believe we talked about that. I know who it was and it will be taking care of next time. That's something that happens at every field. As the numbers grow so does that.
As for the engagement rules they are there and enforced but if no one mentions it during game play its hard to manage. Also its hard to enforce during attack and defend of the building.

No big deal as far as engagement rules, I had a mask and was prepared for getting shot up close range due to the nature of the match and setup. The last game was fun and Id do it again, with or without limits. Just a bit of common sense and it is not a problem. I'm speaking on my behalf only and completely understand the situation.
Again, thanks.

engagement distance rule = dumb!
if it's more than five feet i say quit crying and take up embroidery or other less cool hobbies. you run around shooting at people and getting shot at you should expect a few lumps.

I agree with mr.nofun because if you are close enough to pick what body part you want to shoot at you could aim for the center of mass (like you should be anyway). Also $h!t happens in this sport so if you get hit suck it up and get the guy back.

Whether you agree with the minimum engagement distance or not is inconsequential to an AAR and should be handled in a separate thread. I'm more interested in what I missed. What game types did you guys play? How many people showed up?
Also, I quite agree about playing inside the building vs. outside. Running around in there with my MP5 last time I was there was hands down my favorite part of the day.

Ok people. All in all it was a good day without some of the things that took place.I'd like to thank the players that did show. The last game was my fav even being an attacker. The back hallway had the action.I think it was like 5 of you guys and just me until Ghost got me.But I agree the building is the spot.

that hallway is deadly. it's damn nigh impossible for an attacking force to make a breach through there.

Oh yeah,I know! But I like all the firing back and forth. That went on for like 10 mins.In the other games I had the other team thinking I was on their side.I got 8 kills that way But one thing I will say.It was to much DAMN CAMPING!

Yeah, it was nice playing with you M-DOT, you are a good sport. Sorry about the team kill Anway, we had guys at each section of the building, so I was basically moving from window to door to window. But the outside camping was ridiculous.

How would the building work with using Grenades? Such as a Thumper TG6 or Thunder-B? Or maybe even one of my BFG's? Maybe even a nice 40mm launcher, but would have to watch the range.

it's perfect for it. it could even be argued that it's impossible to fully take it without them. when we played there before with ten or twelve people you could clear it , but there would be maybe one or two left in the attacking force. with the numbers we're getting now, it's impregnable. ten guys who are half competent can hold that building forever if everyone has only small arms.

You can take the building if you can get into the smaller one.If you divide your force into 3 or 4 small groups you can take it.We did it two or three weeks ago.

What about a 70/30 mix? 30% of the force in the buildings and 70% has to try and take it. Might make it more fair. That is what I do in my compound4 in the compound and 16 take them out. Tougher then you think.

Well, the attackers had 3 spawns while the defenders are shot once and out. So the balances it a bit.

The problem with the attack is that you can not see into the building from the outside

Mike, you're right for the most part. But you can attack the small building in the rear. The same rear point on the big building where the trailers are set.The attack on the long hallway is a decoy.Remember there are 3 entrances in the rear. The long hallway to the big building. The outside walkway that leads to the hallway that connects the two buidings. And the small building itself. You need 6 to 7 players for the back attack on the buildings. The rest of the team attacks the front from the left and right flank by the staging area.

Had a good time after I stopped getting shot in the face and people started playing with honor, thats going to happen no matter where you go. The AO was pretty cool, lots of elevation differences and the building layout was nice.
Id HIGHLY suggest getting a cleaning crew out there as it is extremely dangerous in that building, with all of the water, rusty metal & nails, the runs in the floors almost sprained my ankle a few times. Also heard the roof on the bigger building was a no go, might want to tape that off.
Who do I PM about other suggestions?

Had a blast with you guys.I did get shot in the face by my teammate the first game(one of the 3 youngsters that were there in the beginning) and a 2nd by M-Dot but that was a long distance shot and clearly an accident(When i was on the hill).I'll never bitch about that tho,if i get shot in the face it's my own fault for not having my mask on. Met some good people and definitely coming out to more games. That was my first real outing in airsoft so i didn't get to do much, was just getting used to the idea. I got lost trying to figure out who was who from these forums,I'm sure I'll get the chance to meet everyone properly. Thanks for the fun!
